Do I Need a VPN at Home?

While staying protected during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are finding ourselves spending lots more time working online at home. With that being said just how safe and secure are you?

This is anyone working from home, surfing the internet or even streaming from that modified fire stick or other hacked streaming device. With all that said there’s no better tool for securing your internet connection to the outside world than using a VPN device or software.

The Job of a VPN

A VPN adds a layer of security and protection to your online activities by building an encrypted tunnel between data you send or receive and anyone who tries to spy on you.
VPNs are great for when you’re out and about, using local hotspot wifi networks that aren’t your own.

Types of VPN’s

There are two basic types of VPN’s, Hardware and software. Today we will focus more on software VPN’s but if you want to secure your whole house with one device, you can do this from some routers with a VPN client that you install on your router. This will cover anyone or device connected to your home or office network.
